GDC Opportunities For BC Game Developers

Province of BCVia Ministry of Jobs, Tourism and Skills Training: The Government of British Columbia will once again help to support B.C. companies at GDC in San Francisco this March 26-29 through the support of various venues and events. This year, there will be a British Columbia booth on the GDC trade show floor that we would like your company to leverage as much as possible. Method CRM Nabs $3 Million Series A Funding

Method CRMMethod, a high-growth Toronto-based startup and creator of the number one-rated CRM app on the Intuit Partner Platform, has just completed a deal for $3 million in Series A funding. Backed by Klass Capital, a North American VC supported by a $40 billion pension fund, the new investment will enable Method to engage in what it calls extreme product development: that is, a complete redesign of its platform so it fully integrates with Intaact, Wave, Xero, FreshBooks and other top accounting and SMB applications. Vancouver Independent Game Studio Launches With Support From The Canada Media Fund

With funding through the Canada Media Fund and private investment, they are hard at work producing their first game for Next-Gen Tablet PCs. At the helm are Project Director Edward J Douglas and Lead Developer Scott Penner, who have worked together for years on some of the industry’s biggest titles. OfficeTime Announces Top 10 Time Killers

To help draw attention to the massive amount of time spent on time-killing activities that throw life out-of-balance, OfficeTime, which began in 2003 as a spin-off from former Edmonton software developer Transcena Design, has released its annual “Top 10 Time Killers” list. The list was created following a worldwide survey of over 600 people, mostly small business owners, freelancers and other professionals.
