Over Half of Canadians Will Shop Online According To FedEx Survey

christmas orbyCanadian consumers are set to break online shopping records this holiday season, with more than half electing to click-and-ship over standing in long line ups at check-out counters. A new Angus Reid survey commissioned by Federal Express Canada Ltd. (FedEx Express Canada), a subsidiary of FedEx Corp., reveals that 55 per cent of Canadian holiday shoppers will turn to e-commerce this holiday season to take advantage of advanced online shopping technology and fast shipping. Last year, approximately 45% of Canadians were expected to shop online, according to Deloitte’s Consumers Spending with Restraint, 2011 Holiday Outlook Survey.

Tom Hardy To Star As Sam Fisher In Upcoming Splinter Cell Movie

ubisoft canadaUbisoft® has announced that Tom Hardy is attached to star as “Sam Fisher” in its forthcoming movie based on the Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell video game universe, with Eric Singer attached to write the screenplay. Hardy is a highly-versatile actor whose recent work includes the critically-acclaimed roles of iconic villain “Bane” in The Dark Knight Rises and con man “Eames” in the Academy Award®-nominated Inception.  He recently starred in Lawless, which premiered at the Cannes Film Festival, the boxing drama Warrior, and the thriller Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy.  He will next be seen in the lead role of Mad Max: Fury Road.  Eric Warren Singer wrote the Black List script American Bullshit, which David O.
